Safezones

Safezones are a game mechanic in Unturned. Safezones (placed in the level editor as safezone nodes) restrict what players are allowed to do within the area. They can disable combat, building privileges, or both. Players are unable to take damage while inside a safezone, even if their food, water, or immunity status bars are depleted. Safezones often include NPCs that can be interacted with.

Vehicles left inside a safezone will unlock after some time.

Locations

• Russia: The Liberator is surrounded by a safezone.
• Hawaii: The Unyielding HQ, located at the southernmost tip of the map, is a safezone with NPCs. Memorial is also a safezone, but does not contain any NPCs.
• Greece: There are safezone at the map's two factions' headquarters: the Hellenic Forces HQ, and the Omega Compound.
• Ireland: Ireland has 3 NPC factions, with Fort Aileen being home to the Irish Defence Force. The Irish Freedom Republic can be found underneath Rock of Cashel. Off the north-western shore, the H.S. Cale can be found, which hosts the Coalition faction.
• Carpat: The main NPC presence can be found at the Train Station, though a secondary bandit group can be found in the main tunnel nearby the Bunker.
• France: Colonel Jourdan's fort is surrounded by a safezone.
• Belgium: The Ridders Van Licht HQ, located in the west of the map is the safezone.
• Elver: Far above the ground, a Floating Island can be spotted and is home the Elver's NPC faction. This location can be reached using several teleporters found around the map.
• Kuwait: There are safezones at the Survivor Camp, located in the southwest; and at Icarus, located in the east. Both contain NPCs.
• Arid: There is a safezone around spawn the fishing lounge and west side.
• A6 Polaris: Southwest of the map border, the player can swim to the NPC Base. Players can also fast travel to this base from several locations around the map.
• Buak: The Ontoni Factory, located in the south, is surrounded by a safezone with NPCs.
• Escalation: A small sea fort, the Aurum Safezone can be found in the south of the map.

Trivia

• The Liberator in Russia was the first location encompassed in a safezone.
