Reputation
Reputation is a game mechanic used to show your social status. Your reputation levels affect dialog options with NPCs. It can be managed with the @reputation command.
Your reputation can increase, or decrease, depending on how you interact with the world. The following actions will positively affect your reputation:
When killing another player, whether or not you lose Reputation depends on whether or not you were an aggressor. The following will make the game count you as the aggressor of a fight, unless you are marked as under attack:
- Shooting a ranged weapon within four meters of a player.
- Attacking with a melee weapon within four meters of a player.
- Being responsible for the death of a player.
- Using a Detonator.
- Using a Stealy Wheely Automobiley.
- Throwing a Fragmentation Grenade, Snowball, Sticky Grenade, or Makeshift Grenade
The amount of reputation you gain/lose is the other player’s reputation, For example, if you kill an Outlaw with -22 reputation and you were not the aggressor you will instead gain +22 reputation. And if you kill that player with +22 reputation then you will lose 22 reputation.
Alignment
Depending on the amount of Reputation you have, you are listed under a certain tier, and given a special icon next to your in-game name and given a color green being higher and red being lower.
