The Flanker is an uncommon zombie variant. When unalerted, they appear as a normal zombie. Upon being alerted, flankers—including their clothing—will turn a transparent purple hue and attempt to stealthily flank characters from either their side or from behind. When attacking, they briefly return to their original form with a puff of purple particles.
Flankers should not be confused with Spirits, which are always a transparent white hue, and do not attempt to flank the player.
