Jölf is a golf video game developed by Smartly Dressed Games. On August 8, 2021, the game was released onto the now-defunct playjolf.com. Downloads are available for the game itself, or for the game's project files. The project files are available to facilitate modding.
The game was developed as a "weekend side-project", and is not expected to receive significant support. However, Nelson Sexton has expressed interest in officially implementing custom maps. The project was started to experiment with deterministic movement in multiplayer session, as implemented within the Unreal Engine 4 game engine. For example, if the golf ball is interrupted by colliding with another ball on the server, it resimulates this on the client to catch up without rubber banding.
