Change to Community
There's not really a place on the main page of the forum that links to community events and other places. Since modding is a community activity, may be best put both under the same umbrella to make the wiki more reachable from any given page. - Spebby (talk) 03:31, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- Traction-wise, community event pages are kinda like patchnotes where they mostly exist for historical purposes and don't regularly interest readers / aren't a topic users often search for. (The pages themselves, not necessarily the actual events.) Modding probably has more in common with other guide/documentation-esque pages like server hosting or game configuration. It can be easy to group things together just for the sake of grouping them, but wouldn't improve SEO or reader navigability. (E.g., at some point the curated navboxes a la the massive Buak navbox should probably be broken down into multiple, smaller navboxes.) Regardless, I don't think there's really enough pages here for this to make a huge difference either way. E.g., modding topics need updated pages, and the current redirect from Modding to Steam Workshop might not make sense either :/ ---MoltonMontro (talk) 09:49, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- Fair enough. I suppose this is a far-future problem. Fair enough considering how much SEO is a focus right now. - Spebby (talk) 20:26, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
